Incredible food, service, and atmosphere. A great special occasion spot and a carnivore’s dream. Didn’t order the sushi our first time there but we will be back to give it a try. The chateaubriand for two was the perfect portion size and cooked perfectly as well. My only complaint would be that the lobster bisque was missing a hint of richness/sweetness. Overall an outstanding first visit though!

Came here for my birthday and it was nothing short of amazing. I had some dietary restrictions and our waiter Kyle was so patient curating all my options. One thing I love about this establishment is that the staff pays attention to every detail! (My purse had its own personal stool block). We ordered the Royal Osetra with blinis and the Châteaubriand 16 oz. accompanied by in-house Caesar. The salad pairs great with the 30 gram caviar. We ordered the Zeppole dessert which I recommend if you like donuts. I look forward to coming back again!

We finally crossed the restaurant off my must try list and it was worth the wait. From the moment we were seated the experience was great, thanks in large part to our wonderful and knowledgeable server, Candy. We started with an impressive array of appetizers the crispy calamari truly one of the best in Toronto, and the Beef carpaccio was melt in your mouth perfection. The Burata salad was the clear favourite for the evening among the salads, though the Cesar was also delicious. For the mains the New York Striploin and the surprisingly delicious lobster gnocchi (definitely a must try next time) were perfect. My only slight disappointment was my own order of Rib Eye, which I ordered medium rare but arrived a bit too rare something I had higher expectations given the restaurant’s reputation. Overall experience was quite good. My one regret is missing Beef Wellington they had run out due to high demand on Chinese New Year.

We came here in celebration of a birthday and were greeted with great hospitality. The food was absolutely amazing from the beef carpaccio, table side Caesar salad, sushi, and steak. Johnny and Marvin took care of us from start to finish and were extremely professional, helpful, and friendly. Thank you for a wonderful night.

We were disappointed by another restaurant on this night that closed for a private event and did not contact us. After we showed up there to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday and were turned away, I was able to get an online reservation at Black+Blue, which I had dined at before and had positive experiences. I provided a brief note in the reservation about what had happened at the other restaurant. We arrived at Black+Blue an hour later for our reservation. They wished my husband “Happy Birthday” and provided him with a handwritten card. Every staff member who helped us wished him “Happy Birthday”. As we sat down at one of their lovely booths, glasses of prosecco arrived at the table. Our server, Suzy was amazing and kept reassuring us that she would do whatever she could to support us in having an incredible evening. We had a wonderful meal with amazing service. As we were wrapping up, a plate with Happy Birthday, an almond cake and lemon petit fours arrived as a complimentary thank you for dining at Black+Blue. Everything at Black+Blue was fantastic - the seating, the service, the food, all of it - and they made this experience happen within an hour of me making a ‘last minute’ online reservation. So if you are in Toronto or visiting Toronto, book Black+Blue where you will have an excellent experience.
