Amazing good, atmosphere and service. If you like bbq, be sure to stop by. All the staff from the hostess to the server were super nice. I had the shrimp for starters which was good, followed by what may have being the best brisket I've ever had and a banoffee pie for dessert. Stumbled upon this gem on a random night and we’ve gone back several times. Their BBQ tower is delicious - all the meat cooked to perfection! Amazing homemade sauces too and you have to get extra coleslaw. Our server was super friendly and hospitable and provided top-notch service. She also recommended the Pit Fired Old Fashioned and this by far was the best cocktail we’ve tried there! This is a must-eat place in Toronto hands down. The shrimp starter is really nice and quite good value! The steak is also nicely cooked! The alcohol and red wine are a bit pricy! The atmosphere is not bad, but gave me a feel similar to Milestone and Joey’s

I’ve been to The Carbon Bar before, but many moons ago so returning the other night felt like the first time. We caught happy hour just in time so took advantage and tried their brisket slider, pulled pork slider and grilled shrimp. The pulled pork slider was really good, very juicy and tender, same with the shrimp. The brisket slider was pretty dry, definitely disappointing there. We also ordered a side of their mac n’ cheese, the hamachi and the Spanish octopus. I love mac n’ cheese and always on the hunt for the best one - was this the best one? No. But it was good. The cheese was nicely melted with a baked top. The only critique is the macaroni could have been cooked a minute to two longer. It was a bit undercooked. The hamachi was pretty good, but I’d say nothing super special. The octopus was very tender, the dish was well seasoned and the eggplant and olives were a really good compliment. We did have 2 interesting things happen during our dining experience there - the first one we received a beef tartare which we didn’t order but the manager came over right away to take it away. The second thing was when we were waiting for our main, the server set down the settings for another main (likely for the protein platter with bottles of sauces), which we also didn’t order. Definitely not a problem, just interesting that it happened twice. I would come back to try their other items in their menu next time.

Food: 4. Service:4.5 Beer is my favorite! The carbon bar larger and lite are both good. Fresh and light. Spanish octopus was good, eggplant was more outstanding than the octopus. Sausages kinda complement the dish so overall a good choice. Beef brisket was good. Not significantly better than the other smoked meat places in town but sort of meet my expectation. Sea bream was disappointed. Fish itself was plain the sauce was exaggerating making the dish not that balanced. Vibes were nice and staff were welcoming.
