Your journey begins in historic downtown Estes Park, at an elevation of 7,500 feet, and winds through lush meadows, shimmering rivers, aspen groves, and alpine lakes. In summer and fall, we venture into the alpine tundra above 12,000 feet, traveling the historic Old Fall River Road (accessible after July 4) and the scenic heights of Trail Ridge Road (weather permitting). There will be multiple stops along the way up to the Alpine Visitor Center and stops along the way back down. If conditions prevent access to certain areas, don’t worry—we’ll explore equally stunning parts of the park to ensure an incredible experience. Ride in comfort in our iconic Green Jeeps, which seat up to 10 guests. For larger groups, we’ll divide you across multiple vehicles to keep the adventure personal and connected.

I am a local historian and naturalist who has lived in the area for over 50 years. I consider myself an interpreter of nature adding color to the already stunning beauty you'll see. We'll concentrate on the myriad wildlife, the diverse biology, and incredible geology of the Rockies. We'll also get insight into what it might have been like for early pioneers and lodge keepers as well as indigenous people like the Arapaho, Cheyenne, and Ute. My tours are completely flexible so if you want to hike for 3 or 4 miles, great! Or if you just want sit back and relax and enjoy the view that's fine too! Either way we'll stop often to photograph and talk about the amazing sights.

Our resident geologist, Ranger Rod, will direct you through Rocky Mountain National Park from the comfort of your own vehicle. He will take photos of your group's adventure as you travel through time in RMNP witnessing evidence of major rock and mineral forming processes that took place billions of years ago. Discover ancient mountains that started rising shortly after the dinosaurs went extinct, as well as landscape formed by later volcanic eruptions. More recently (in geologic time) learn how the mountains were sculpted by massive ice age glaciers and about early human history after the valley glaciers covering the area melted 12 thousand years ago. Seeing these natural wonders through the eyes of an experienced local geologist, will evolve your worldview of mountain landscapes and enhance future RMNP adventures. 6 hour tour times are only available in the summertime when Trail Ridge Rd is open, 4 hour tour reservations are available year-round.

Early Bird: This half day tour is just how it sounds, early! This morning tour is a great choice if you are limited for time but would like to see some of Colorado's wildlife. This is a great tour for avid birders as we will be getting into the park at the perfect time to catch some of natures greatest songs. The "Dawn Chorus" Golden Eagle: This is the tour that has made us so famous here in RMNP. This is our full day private wildlife tour. For the avid wildlife enthusiast we cannot recommend a better tour. On this full day tour we will travel throughout the entirety of the park and all the different habitats, to give us the best chance at seeing the most animals. Night Owl: Our newest tour, this is a once in a lifetime tour for many. We start the afternoon off with a bang. Spending the evening hours in search of wildlife. Capping off the experience with a sunset and stargaze from over 12,000 feet high! You have never seen a sunset or this many stars in your life, I guarantee it!
