Oh my wow! I had their Anniversary Bento box special only 12 slots available was lucky they squeezed me in today...I was full satisfied and smiling after that meal! Those 12 little samplers floored me each time plus the toppings bowl option of the eel and snow crab then main course of seared Ox tounge medallions and rich miso based soup adds up.. all really really good.. they have been open for 19years and all the staff and great service was at peak today. I was surprised the reasonable prices for the ala carte menu also considering the high quality of dishes. I was also pleasantly surprised with the mixed fusion yet almost authentic japanese flavors. I did not find any "avocado" used in any of those 15 plates i had today..unlike westernized japanese food.... Yes!!! Good Job!! Do not miss a chance to dine here!.. a Vancouver gem. Everything is sooo good! Order more to share! The beef tongue and tuna was just amazing. For the last one, salad eas just to much, you overhear it’s flavour over tuna - iceberg, lettuce, whatever is less explosive - please! Shrimps were huge! But too much of mayo as - again, additional over do it for the main ingredient. This place lived up to the reviews. Spectacular food, impeccable service, and authentic atmosphere. Made me feel like I was back in Japan. Recommend making a reservation but if you a solo or group of 2, you might be able to walking and get a counter seat like we did. The corn is recommended and there is a reason for it. Seasonal special so we tried the blu fin tuna aburi sushi and it did not disappoint. We will be going back.

It was my first time eating here. The restaurant decor was chic and cozy. The food was amazing, especially the Ramen was so good. I had their house made ginger ale and it tasted really good. Definitely will be back again to try some of their other dishes.

All the dishes were absolutely delicious, and the overall experience exceeded our expectations. We ordered a variety of items, each beautifully presented and full of flavor. The hot stone Japanese beef was a highlight—tender and fun to cook at the table—though understandably not quite as rich as what we’ve had in Japan. Still, it was very enjoyable. The service was attentive and friendly, and the ambiance added to the experience with its clean, modern aesthetic and relaxed vibe. Every bite felt thoughtfully prepared, and we left fully satisfied. A place we’d gladly return to!
