Coming here for dinner the second time in a row during my short stay in Venice. The seafood pasta was just phenomenal! The service was excellent! I can’t recommend this trattoria more! The seafood pasta here is more than art. Some people may feel that it is expensive, but the moment you taste the food, that thought disappears. The lunch menu is available after 11:30, and it's worth the wait. The waiter was very friendly and I felt respected throughout the meal. It was my first meal in Venice, and I was able to start my trip very pleasantly. It was the best experience. If I visit Venice next time, I will definitely come again. I recommended this place to my friend. Great crowd and food was delish. Tried the seafood spaghetti, caprese and beef. All were well done and flavourful. The queue might be a little long but definitely worth it!

Great crowd and food was delish. Tried the seafood spaghetti, caprese and beef. All were well done and flavourful. The queue might be a little long but definitely worth it!

The number of positive reviews for this restaurant speaks for itself. This place came recommended on multiple online sources and was also suggested to us by our Airbnb host. It was busy and full of energy every single time we passed by. My best advice is to call ahead and book. We had to make reservations for Saturday at 7pm about 2 days in advance. There seemed to be people eating outside of the "normal" Italian meal times so double check if they can accomodate you before lunch (noon) or between lunch and dinner (2-7pm). Although Bar Pontini is frequented by a significant number of non-Italian tourists, don't let that dissuade you as the food was delicious and there did seem to be Italian-speaking guests catching up with the waitstaff during our visit.

The wait was over for 2 hours: waiting for the table, waiting for drinks, waiting for food, waiting for the bill. The wine was only brought after we reminded them. I understand that the staff are busy, but maybe they shouldn't take extra reservations then? After such a long wait, the food seemed quite good, fairly averagе. If you still want to visit, book in advance.
