Reinthaler’s Basil was our very first stop in Vienna for authentic schnitzel and potato salad, and it did not disappoint. The schnitzel was cooked perfectly… crisp on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside, exactly what you hope for when you come to Austria. You can tell they really know their schnitzel here. The potato salad was equally impressive, with that signature Viennese tang that makes it so distinctive. It was somehow creamy but not creamy at the same time… light, flavorful, and completely addictive. Everything felt fresh, authentic, and made with care. A perfect introduction to classic Austrian comfort food and a spot I’d happily return to again. We had great schnitzel and the beef soup here. The vibe and service were great as well. The prize is reasonable for a reataurant at the center area. We arrived at dinner time and waited around 20-30 mins for a table. Our guide say this is one of the better restaurants for Wiener schnitzel, goulash in town. To be honest after eating so many Wiener schnitzel across the region I can’t tell anymore. It’s just another fried meat with potatoes. I guess it was good. We actually like their house beer, very flavorful and well worth the stop. Our waitress wasn’t the friendliest and seemed to having a long day and can’t wait to go home 🤦🏻♂️

I had an overall fantastic experience here. My waitress was attentive, nice, sweet and friendly. I was a lone diner and she asked me if i minded joining with another two, which was a great experience for us all. Food was amazing value - I wanted to try authentic austrian food and it more than delivered. I would say it seems dough content was high in Austrian meals, so definitely watch what you order. Loved the pancake soup. Lovely special main (roast pork), special dessert was a bit too doughy for me. Costed my only 26 for a 3 course meal with a wine tho! Would recommend!

We didn’t wait long I. The line, the women managing the place was very fast friendly and professional , service was impeccable and she was always smiling and looking after us despite the place being packed. We took the shnitzel and the goat cheese salad along with fried chicken salad . Very generous portions, fair prices and lovely atmosphere
