Dropped by with my friend from Bangkok because this place is kinda famous — and now I get why! 🍜 The noodles are delicious, portions hit the sweet spot, and honestly the boiled ones beat the fried ones for me (team rebus ✌️). If I could wish for one thing, it’s more “choose-your-own-adventure” toppings. Right now there’s the Rica² (2 giant wings, 1 chicken feet, 1 chicken neck) — cool combo, but sometimes I just crave an egg or a cheeky extra wing without committing to the full squad. 🐔🍳 All in all, tasty noodles, fun vibes, and definitely a spot I’d drag more friends to. Mood instantly upgraded! 😋✨ The best Javanese noodles! Mie goreng nyemek was my favorite. Their fried rice is good too. The place was unique, like an almost-collapsed bamboo shack. The inside was actually huge, like a labyrinth. And my favorite part is that smoking is not allowed inside. Respect, in a city where smoking is allowed almost anywhere without air conditioning. Very good and my #1 choice for Bakmi Jawa in Jogja. Very authentic taste and delicious. Well Done Mbah Gito 👍😃

The place was almost at full capacity when we visited. It was cozy in its own way. Shall we say it looks homy in and Indonesian way. But my food was quite late in arriving and it was rather salty for my taste. Even if it wasn't salty, I thought it was so-so.

Here tried their favorite dish, which is bakmi godog jawa. It actually noodles served with chicken broth i think? And mix with egg, cabbage, shredded chicken as a topping. Portion is so so. Not really big, not also small. Price quite expensive, similar with the price in jakarta. And they also charged you for chili. Overall, love the taste that comforting, but i think the price is too high for a noodle in jogja.
