Leave Kigali by 08h30 for Akagera National Park. Head to Akagera Game Lodge for lunch and check-in, drive through the park to Ihema lake, the largest lake in the park and the 2nd largest in Rwanda. Enjoy the one-hour boat ride exploring the nature in the forest, hippos & crocodiles in the lake. On the 2nd day, spend the entire day game-driving, depart to Kigali late afternoon. Akagera has a diversity of wildlife: buffaloes, elephants, giraffes, zebras, impalas & many others. After a long time being extinct, the black rhinos and lions have been restocked. Their sighting is always not guaranteed due to their small number & the hiding character of the black rhino. Enjoy the game drive viewing the natural habitat of different animals, birds, view different lakes and landscape.
