Nechisar National Park is one of Ethiopia’s last great surviving wildernesses spanning the narrow yet mountainous ‘Bridge of God’ that separates Lakes Chamo and Abaya. You will hike through diverse habitats ranging from thick bush, rain forest, natural springs, acacia woodland, two Rift Valley Lakes to wide-open Savannah. Each terrain offers different wildlife including baboons, Columbus monkeys, surviving herds of Swaynes’s hartebeast, zebras, Grant gazelles, crocodiles, hippopotamus and 350 different bird species.
