Despite the country's turbulent politics, the Comoros is one of the safest destination in Africa. Comorian food blends Africa, Arab and European style and uses a fair amount of spices. Coconut based dishes are quite common. Seafood is good and plentiful. If you have any special dietary requirements please notify prior to your departure. We try to accommodate but we cannot guarantee. The cost for meals may vary depending upon location, type of restaurants. Local restaurants located off the beaten track may be less expensive. ATM available in Grande Comore and Anjouan. Local currency is Comoros Franc (KMF). The month of December, January, February, March, April is hot and humid. June, July, Augusta cooler months. You need to have a valid travel insurance, the cost of which is not included in the price of the tour. It is your responsibility to obtain one.
