This is a day trip to one of the most beautiful, and biggest lake of Tajikistan, Iskanderkul lake. The lake named after Alexander the Great (known as Iskander in the East), that makes it more interesting to visit. You are not just going to visit this lake alone, however you will visit Snake lake, walk to powerful Fann mountains waterfall famous as Fann's Niagara. Besides that, all the way from Dushanbe to Iskanderkul lake and back, you will enjoy great landscapes and sceneries of Fann mountains range, Varzob Gorge and rivers. Take a boat trip to see most of the lake. You can swim in the lake also. Eat your lunch right at the edge of the lake in a well-located Cafe wwith best views on the lake and mountains.
