About This Tour
Travelers visiting the pyramids, especially the Pyramids of Giza, will see massive ancient structures rising out of the desert. The largest is the Great Pyramid, a towering monument of limestone blocks. Nearby, the slightly smaller Pyramid of Khafre still has some of its smooth casing stones at the top, and the iconic Sphinx, with the body of a lion and the head of a pharaoh, stands guard nearby. The smallest of the trio is the Pyramid of Menkaure. Visitors can also explore inside some pyramids, experiencing narrow passageways and ancient burial chambers.
