The 11 mile bike and pedestrian path through the 5000 acre park is enshrouded with towering trees. Catch glimpses of the city below as you zip through the temperate forest. The Rogue River thrill seeker is the trip for the group who can’t decide on the experience they want so they choose to do it all. In the morning paddle yourself in an inflatable kayak through the pristine pools in the bottom of Hellgate Canyon. Take on some adventure and paddle yourself through the class II rapids of the Rogue River in your own inflatable kayak! Our guides will teach you the skills and show you the lines, but paddling through will be all you, and you can certainly do it! Mid-day the group will enjoy lunch on our patio between games of ladder golf. After you have had your fill we load in the van for a short drive to the put-in for the Nugget Falls section of the Rogue River. This section of the river has much bigger whitewater so we load into a paddle raft where you paddle as part of a team through the frothing torrents. The afternoon section builds in difficulty, culminating in the famous Tilomikh falls, a combination of two drops plummeting over 10 feet in total.

This 5.5 mile stretch of river has more to offer in whitewater excitement and adventure than any other section of the entire Rogue River, and nobody knows it better or provides more fun and safety than Noah’s guides and crew. That encounter blossomed into a friendship which led to his living & working at Flying Dutchman Alpacas, Amanda's family farm in Bend, OR during part of the pandemic year. Taking their morning coffee & lunch in the alpaca pasture was pure therapy & they both realized that if these floofs were therapeutic to them, they'd be therapeutic to ALL. So here they are, offering an experience with a group of floofs guaranteed to put smiles on the faces of those in the foulest of moods. There is no other activity that will give you this level of time, experience, education and interaction with the magical creatures that are the alpaca.

On this ALL-INCLUSIVE 3-hour tour, you'll get a broad overview of the Central City. We'll make stops at Pittock Mansion and the International Rose Test Gardens. At Pittock Mansion, you'll get pictures of the best views of the city, and the five stratovolcanoes that are visible on a clear day. His grandfather first moved the family to Pacific City in 1971 to commercial dory fish for salmon. His work history in the tourism field is extensive. Working in Skagway, Alaska, responsible for the transport of up to 50 guests, taking them from the docks, through congested mountain roads, to the interior of the Yukon, Canada. He did this in a 45-foot MCI motor coach and earned a CDL along the way. He’s been a courtesy driver at several establishments ranging from White Elephant Hotel in Nantucket, MA, St. Regis in Park City, UT, and the Little Nell Hotel in Aspen, CO. His rich, local family history, combined with his extensive background leading tours, makes him an ideal guide. Paired with his enjoyable personality and outgoing manner, guests are sure to have an unforgettable time on the Oregon Coast.

Our small group Eastside Coffee Roaster walking tour takes you to the makers who have called the neighborhood their home for decades, each with a different approach to coffee roasting and brewing. Across from downtown Portland, the industrial neighborhood has transformed from manufacturing and warehouses to the heart of passionate creators: artists, chocolate makers, food innovators, and every kind of free spirit. Portland has the most coffee roasters of any city in the world, and we would argue some of the most earnest and unique origins and barista artistry is happening right where Around Portland Tours makes its home. The Columbia Gorge NSA features waterfalls, mountains, monoliths, terraces, resort towns, vineyards, orchards, and The River, harboring a plethora of fish and birds, and unique plants and invertebrates. In the early 1900s, Portlanders would drive their Model T cars along the Columbia River Highway to gaze at waterfalls. There is said to be over 4000 waterfalls; many are hidden away, but many are just a short hike off the Historic Highway. On this afternoon half-day tour you'll make new friends while exploring "waterfall alley", including views of the Vista House and a stop at Multnomah Falls, the tallest waterfall in Oregon and most visited site in the Pacific Northwest. Your expert guide will teach you about the natural history, cultural history, and wine background of the area, as you drive the Historic Columbia River Highway Scenic Byway. You'll continue on to stop at a vineyard in the Columbia Gorge American Viticultural Area (AVA). Tasting fees included.
