Licensed by Alaska's Transportation Department, this is for 3 - 10 people because of the way the Viator commissions and Park fees work, if you are just one or two people you can still book the tour but I need to charge for 3 - 10 people to make it feasible, if that makes sense.

4 day Alaska Seward Camping Adventure from Anchorage with an expert local guide- small group adventure max of 12 guests.

Palmer has been an agricultural hub since the early 1900s and is home to one of only two experiment farms in the state. During the 1930s the town's roots as a farming community grew with the Matanuska Colony Project. Over 200 families relocated to the Palmer area under the New Deal. Relocated families received a 40-acre plot of land and a home. Farming today looks much different than it did 100 years ago. Farmland is hard to come by, so our farmers work hard to maximize their smaller plots of land. This tour starts with a walking tour of the downtown Palmer area, discussing farms of the past. After a glimpse at the area's history, we'll drive outside of town to meet a local farmer and learn about the challenges of farming in the far north. Our final stop will highlight a small business sourcing ingredients from an Alaska farm. After the farm visit, guests will stop at a local brewery or kombuchery to sip on a locally crafted beverage, included with the purchase of their trip.

A taste of Palmer - we'll head to a glacial valley in scenic Hatcher Pass for a mellow 4-mile, out-and-back hike on a flat, well-maintained trail. Along the way, learn about how glaciers carved the Mint Valley and what prospectors found while panning in the early 20th century. We'll stop at an old beaver damn for snacks and a water break before heading back to the trailhead. Following our valley walk, we'll stop at a local brewery (non-alcoholic options available). Learn about the brewers, discover what's crafted using locally harvested ingredients, and sip on a beverage.

We handle the transportation allowing you to relax and enjoy. Our Guides know the best spots and can take you to lesser-known attractions along the way. Our guides offer expert Knowledge and provide insights about local history, culture, and wildlife that you might miss on your own. Once we arrive, retired sled dogs greet you and dogs in their prime take you on Alaska’s winter trails, each having a special place on our team. After you’re outfitted for winter, we’ll share some tales from the trail around the campfire before we introduce you to the whole team, many have competed in the Iditarod multiple times. We invite you to be part of the adventure on one of our dog sled tours, beginning with giving the dogs love and attention before we head out on the trail. Once we’re on the trail, you can ride in a custom-made tour sled, or you can help your guide drive the sled!

Anchorage has one of the best urban trail systems in the United States, with hundreds of miles of paved and multi-use trails connecting our city. Our three main multi-use trails—the Chester Creek Trail, the Tony Knowles Coastal Trail, and the Campbell Creek Trail—can be connected to form a 30-mile bike loop, an almost-complete urban greenway that is, when viewed on a map, in the shape of a moose! You will be off the beaten path, spending the day like a local with a local! This urban greenbelt has ample opportunities to spot wildlife like moose, black bears, bald eagles, and occasionally even a beluga whale! If you love to bike, there is no better way to experience Anchorage than by joining us to bike the "Moose Loop" (the route makes the outline of a moose head on a map).
