Baden-Württemberg not only produces the finest Pinot Noir’s but also revels in other varietals such as Grauburgunder, Weißburgunder, Muskateller, Gutedel and Chardonnay. Alsace is home to no fewer than 51 Grand Cru terroirs, where only the four most prestigious grape varieties of the region (Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, and Muscat) are cultivated, with the exception of Sylvaner. The names of these terroirs are often mysterious, and the winemakers will be happy to explain their meaning and uniqueness to you. These terroirs represent the pinnacle of Alsace’s vineyards, with Grand Crus located all along the Alsace wine route, always on hillsides with optimal exposure. During your visit to the winegrowers, you'll have the opportunity to taste the different grape varieties from the Grand Cru hillsides, and sometimes even the same grape variety from several Grand Cru parcels. The winemakers will introduce you to the wines that are the pride of their estates and will delight your taste buds. These wines boast incomparable elegance and exceptional aromatic richness, drawn directly from the soil in which the vines are planted.

I welcome to the cellar, where we'll start tasting our wines. We'll watch a video explaining how Alsace wines are made. I'll then take you on a tour of the family cellar, which dates back to 1850, to see the hundred-year-old oak barrels we still use to make our wines. We have a scenographic area in the cellar with an immersive 180° video projected onto the barrels - the only one of its kind in France. This film is not a remake of anything you can find to date about working in the vineyard... But a film about my rather rich personal history, and my working philosophy. The whole thing is projected in the cellar, onto hundred-year-old oak barrels at 180°. We'll finish the tasting in our dining bar area.
