We knew when we're in for something special when the patio had no more seating. We were immediately greeted by the most pleasant maitre'd and sat indoors around 12:45PM on a Friday. The space was very bright and open, and you could clearly see the kitchen and bar. We were greeted promptly by our waitress Marisa, who walked through the entire menu; and was so kind and patient. Without a doubt, this was one of the best lunches l've had in quite some time. I will make the drive to visit this restaurant again, I was too full for dessert so of course I have to return!!

Delicious food, amazing staff, bustling atmosphere! A little touch of Hawaii in Asheville. Great selection of food - bowls, sandwiches, plates and platters and everything we had was truly delicious. Portion sizes are large, enough to take home and savor the next day.

We were looking for good bbq in Asheville so we stopped in on Thursday night for dinner. So glad we did! Food was very delicious and plentiful. We had the pulled pork sandwich and the mahi tacos. The pulled pork was very tender & juicy! The mahi in the tacos was cooked to perfection and the slaw, avocado and cilantro added on top was such a good combination! We also ordered a side of the cornbread and it was scrumptious! The table sauces were so yummy we had to buy a bottle of each one. Our dining experience was made even better by our amazing server, MARISA!! She was so friendly and informative and even let us sample a small taste of the brisket for future reference. Brisket was also cooked to tender & juicy perfection! We will definitely be back to try other things on the menu. Hopefully we will have Marisa as our server again. She is definitely an asset to Huli Sue’s BBQ!

Nice Place to have a tasty lunch or dinner. Great service and atmosphere, especially outside. We had tuna bowl (we did not like the cold noodle salad inside, but the rest was, Hawaiian smash burger (side salad with blue cheese sauce was nice), double bacon cheeseburger and huli’s chicken sandwich (nachos with cheese sauce ok, but not awesome, just a bit too basic), smoothies Unfortunately no kids menue / portions A clear recommendations overall.

I stopped by Huli Sue’s BBQ & Grill in the Grove Arcade while in Asheville, and it ended up being one of the best meals of my trip. The vibe is fun and welcoming, with a mix of island energy and Southern comfort that makes you want to linger. I ordered the brisket plate, which was smoky and tender and also tried some tuna tacos which were packed with flavor. Portions are big, and the cornbread with honey butter was such a simple but perfect touch. Order two of the cornbread, you’ll thank me later. Service was friendly and helpful, and while prices are a little on the higher side for Asheville, the quality and atmosphere more than made up for it. Overall, it’s a spot I’d happily come back to whenever I’m in town.
