We had the loveliest dining experience! Everything from the fare (outstanding) to the service (loved the Martini trolley 😊) The young man on the trolley was just delightful, made me miss my son, who recently moved to Australia. The ambience was also on point. This was my second visit (we are from Napier) having previously dined at lunchtime. We'll definitely be back! 😍🤩

We had a fabulous time at Onslow. We’re visiting Auckland for only a few days and made our reservations because it was across the street from our hotel. Excellent luck ! We were greeted warmly on entry, seated and all our needs attended to for the rest of the evening. Impeccable service! We started with the crayfish eclair and chicken liver parfait and fried chicken. These were fabulous! So much so they were gobbled up before I could take pictures. We like the chicken so much we ordered a second one. (The 3 of us were splitting the appetizers). For our mains we chose duck and snapper accompanied by the potatoes and salad with a local wine suggested to us. Every thing we had to eat at Onslow was fabulous.

Fabulous Food! Enjoyed an outstanding food performance! Waiting staff were welcoming, helpful and friendly. The five treat entrees, PAUA, beef, Oysters, crayfish and Brie. - all delicately prepared with a wide spectrum of flavours. Mains were good and the layered chocolate cake was one of the best cakes I have eaten! Overall we felt we were lucky to have the opportunity to taste such fine food. In addition the wine list is comprehensive and the bar staff make great cocktails.

Our daughter just had her wedding service and dinner here, and it was absolutely fantastic. Gillian was fabulous to work with, easy to get gold of and very accommodating throughout various meetings held in preparation. The waiting staff on the night were wonderful- so friendly and cheerful. Our meal was amazing. We loved the room we hired- it was the perfect size for our party of 30, and mingling out on the deck while the couple were off for wedding photos was lovely. We truly loved our time so much- couldn't fault anything. Thankyou Thankyou Thankyou. Ps I couldn't comment on the noise level and reservation as they weren't really applicable as we weren't in the main restaurant.

Im lucky enough to travel extensively for my living. This also gives me the opportunity to chance upon some amazing culinary experiences. This was one of those occasions. To visit during Negroni week was a total bonus. Being an avid Negroni drinker I was suitably educated in a selection on local gin and Vermouth which I selected for my custom Negroni. Crab eclair, chicken liver parfait, seared tuna and snapper were my chices from the menu although I could have easily selected other dishes. I guess another visit is in order next time I'm in the country!! This is a restaurant i would highly recommend visiting if you are looking for a taste sensation. Only one small criticism, as a sole traveller its nice to see restaurants serving a crafe of wine rather than by the glass as one glass is never quite enough!!
