This is Vancouver’s only ancient big tree tour. Within walking distance from downtown Vancouver you will be guided by well known big tree seeker Colin Spratt through Vancouver’s last ancient forest located in historic Stanley Park. The tour lasts around 3 hours and in that period of time you will visit Canada’s largest maple tree, 1000 year old cedars, massive firs, and you will also learn about the history of the park and the history of the original coast Salish people who called the park home. We will walk various trails in the park and see the most impressive giants still standing. Some of these giants are hidden unless you know where to look. Using old maps, postcards over a hundred years old, and photos from Vancouver’s archive, we piece together the history of the ancient forest and the urban environment. This is a guided tour of Vancouver’s extensive waterfront with me, Adrian. I'm local to the area and know all the great spots to show you around our beautiful waterfront. The tour includes a ride around Vancouver’s world-famous Stanley Park, a stop to explore Granville Island and a ride along the beachfront all the way to the University of British Columbia, BC.

We will be ice fishing for stocked Rainbow Trout on one of the local lakes right here in Whistler. The fish range between 8 & 14 inches in length but if you are lucky there is the "chance" of hooking an 18 + inch trout. This is a great experience for those new to ice fishing. I will set up a large tent-like ice fishing shelter which will have a heater inside to keep you nice and toasty. We also put you in a pair of insulated winter boots with ice cleats for warmth & safety. If it's a nice day you can move around the lake a lot more. This way, you can take in all the beautiful scenery the area has to offer which includes Whistler and Blackcomb mountain in the background. There is a good chance we will have the lake all to ourselves. It's the perfect getaway when you need a break from skiing and want some quiet time. This is truly a Canadian experience that you must cross off your bucket list
