You definitely must book ahead as there was a queue for the first sitting at 6.30. Dishes were creative and beautifully presented. My favourite being the flower salad- it’s almost too pretty to eat. The flavours were not what I expected and I can’t decide if that’s a good thing or not. However it was reasonably priced a la carte menu. Service was attentive and ours was quite passionate about the cocktails. Atmosphere was buzzing.

We ordered the "Vereda Tropical" cocktailwhich is truly a signature drinks from the Colombian Caribbean. We also ordered the Roasted Lobster which came in a soup pot. That was unexpected. The "millo cream" and mini popcorn were not playing very well - neither with the Lobster nor with the local snails. We ordered the white chocolate with borojo ice cream and that was extraordinary. We have to say that service at thos restaurant is Superb!

We came here after finding out it was a top 50/100 restaurant and I totally understand why. You instantly get the homey feeling with the interior design and packed, tiny kitchen. The apps were so unique, starting with confi tuna which melts in your mouth and cut by the green mango slices. The Celele main dish was unlike anything I had before, almost like a crispy smash burger made out of pork and covered in microgreens. The rabbit was not gamey at all and extremely rich. The corn dishes were all so soft and delicate. Lastly, the cocktails were amazing and crafted carefully with fat washes, foams, etc. And all this for ~$100/person was such a steal. Highly recommended this place if visiting Cartagena!

I think we died and went to heaven tonight. The food, the drinks (both alcoholic and non), the service, and the atmosphere were suburb. Juan and all the other staff were so warm. Nothing pretentious about this place. Everything is made fresh and normally I would not spend two plus hours in a restaurant having dinner but the pacing was great. The food is very reasonably priced. The presentation of the dishes was also very creative with different settings of handmade dinnerware. This meal was the highlight of our trip.

Celele – Cartagena From start to finish, an unforgettable dining experience. The team at Celele is deeply skilled in fermentation and crafting innovative dishes bursting with vibrant, complex flavors — many using local, seasonal ingredients I’d never even encountered before. The plating is a true work of art, but it’s not just about looks — every dish tastes just as incredible as it appears. The service team was outstanding — kind, attentive, and patient, taking time to explain every ingredient, where it was sourced, and how it was prepared. Their passion really shines through and elevates the entire experience. It’s clear why Celele has earned a well-deserved spot on the World’s 50 Best Restaurants list for several years in a row. A must-visit in Cartagena.
