Wander through the sanctuary at your leisure and see the animals' daytime habits; sleeping in their dens, sun baking, play fighting or fossicking for food. On one of our day keeper tours, an experienced guide will lead you through the sanctuary, giving you a greater understanding of this unique animal and the Devils@Cradle conservation programs, and allowing you the chance to view these extraordinary animals up close.

Join us at lunchtime for an informative guided walk through the sanctuary viewing all of our resident species, and concluding with an immersive Tasmanian devil feeding session in one of our largest Tasmanian devil enclosures. Our devils are most active and ‘rowdy’ at feeding time, and our largest and only walk through enclosure, provides the opportunity to get a 360-degree viewing of this feeding activity. Our experienced guides will provide commentary on the infamous feeding behaviour and diet of these unique Tasmanian carnivores, as well as an overview of our conservation work.

The after dark feeding tour is an experience that is unique to Devils@Cradle. This tour provides an unforgettable experience, and the opportunity to observe these extraordinary animals whilst one of our keepers gives you a greater understanding of them, and details the conservation work being undertaken within the facility. Devils and quolls are primarily nocturnal species, therefore are far more active at night, and the introduction of food generally stimulates some fierce competition between them. We use environmentally sensitive lighting and focus on the social interactions and feeding habits of these unique carnivores, allowing visitors a rare up close opportunity of seeing Tasmanian devils in a group feeding situation - quite a spectacular sight!

Join us on this evening tour for all ages as we travel into the National Park for a night spotting adventure searching for the locals including wallabies, wombats, possums and maybe even a Tasmanian Devil. HIGHLIGHTS • Chance to see pademelons, wombats, possums, potoroos, quolls and wallabies • Informative and education commentary from the guide • Dusk and sunset scenery • Ronny Creek and surrounding board walks

Departs Cradle Mountain The walk begins with a safety briefing at the foot of the Lake. The track is 6km in length, walked in a clockwise direction. This premier walk will offer you some spectacular views of the famous mountain! The walk will take approximately 4hrs including a lunch stop along the way. The track travels around Dove Lake, passing beneath the mountain, then returns through stunning rainforest to the tour starting point. You will have the opportunity to venture through some of Tasmania's special vegetation found in this area. A picnic style lunch is included with the tour. This will be issued to you prior to the walk; please ensure you have a suitable bag to take this with you. It is at the discretion of the tour guide to deny a passenger participation due to the physical demands of the walk. Should this be the case, the passenger will be transferred to participate in the Park Explorer Tour at passengers' own cost.

Throughout summer Devils@Cradle offers small groups of guests the unique opportunity for an exclusive evening visit to the sanctuary, accompanied by sweet treats and drinks. Guests will get up-close, be given behind the scenes access, whilst enjoying some of our amazing Tasmanian produce. Wander through the sanctuary, which is located within an ancient Cradle Mountain rainforest, and have the opportunity to roast marshmallows and enjoy a dessert platter around a campfire at sunset, all to the sound of screaming Tasmanian devils.
