A World-Class Gem in the Heart of Cusco We’ve dined at Hanz Gastronomique three times now, and each visit has been a little culinary vacation of its own. From the first bite to the final sip, everything shines with the confidence of a restaurant that could hold its own against any big-name spot in Paris, New York, or Tokyo. The menu is a love letter to flavor. The lamb dishes- whether you call it lamb or “the happiest sheep in the Andes”—are tender enough to make you question every other lamb you’ve ever met. The salmon is equally memorable, perfectly seared with a melt-in-your-mouth finish that could convert even the most committed carnivore. The atmosphere is a delight: warm lighting, stylish décor, and that irresistible open-kitchen peek that lets you watch the magic unfold. Don’t skip the aperitifs; they set the stage like a great opening act before a headliner concert. And then there’s Raul, our star of the evening each time. His service is so gracious and intuitive that I half-expected him to read my mind - thankfully he stopped just short of predicting dessert (though he did recommend exactly what we wanted). Raul’s attention and charm turned a great meal into an unforgettable night. Hanz Gastronomique isn’t just “good for Cusco.” It’s world-class, period. If you’re lucky enough to snag a table, bring your appetite and maybe an extra compliment or two for Raul -you’ll need them.😊🙌

I came here with my Peruvian girlfriend late in the evening without a reservation, and it turned out to be a wonderful experience. She chose this place so I could discover authentic Peruvian cuisine, and I was not disappointed. We were seated within two minutes at a table with a beautiful view of the Plaza de Armas. The location is excellent, but what truly makes this restaurant special is the quality of the food. We tried two different preparations of trout, and both were fantastic—fresh, flavorful, and truly authentic. Our server, Raoul, was outstanding: attentive, professional, and passionate about the food. He surprised us with small extras from the chef and shared detailed, mouthwatering descriptions of each dish before we tasted it. The atmosphere is warm and romantic, yet versatile enough for any occasion—whether a date, a special night out, or simply enjoying great food. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to enjoy genuine Peruvian flavors in a perfect setting.

Had the opportunity to try this restaurant during our Peru vacation. The service was truly impeccable. The food was good, but probably a little different from my tastes. Tried the alpaca, since we don’t have this in the states. Great view of the square. The waiter was also happy to explain the pisco sour and make it without the egg. Highly recommend for a nice dinner.

Truly high class gastronomic experience! Best food in Cusco. We have visited pace 3 times during our tour and always been highly satisfied with food, atmosphere and service. A high-class cuisine that fully meets the finest European standards. From the windows, there is a magnificent view of the main square. The second-floor dining room is small but very cozy, so it’s best to reserve a table in advance. All ingredients are exceptionally fresh, and every dish is prepared with true mastery. Highly recommended: -the freshest Patagonian salmon in a signature style with spinach and vegetables, -the house ceviche, -an outstanding dessert with warm chocolate mousse and refreshing mint sorbet There is a great choice of craft local beers. Try fresh herbs blended tea as well.

Very nice restaurant with view of plaza mayor. Great service, received complementary bread, chip with tartar and a strawberry covered in white chocolate. I took the salmon with spinach and potatoes. It was cooked well but nothing out of the ordinary.
