The food here is amazing and as fresh fish as you could ever want. The restaurant is a shack behind a fishmongers stall, that overlooks the sea. Seating 8-10 people. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is no menu, you walk outside to the stall, choose what selection of fish you want. It is then cooked and served. My wife and I chose a fresh cut tuna steak weighing 1kg (it cost 9500 rupees) it was cooked with a soy sauce glaze and sesame seeds, served with a side salad. It was beautiful. If you want a beautiful restaurant with crisp table linen, then this isn't for you, it is very rustic which could put off certain people. However if you want amazingly fresh fish with helpful, friendly service and a great view, at a very fair price, then give this a try.

Have had seafood all over the world, and this place has the best Grilled prawns ever tasted! Such a good idea to show the seafood like a market and choose what you want them to cook to perfection. You wont find more fresh seafood in Sri Lanka

Great experience with Fisherman's Dish Restaurant! Today I ordered a grilled fish as a gift to be delivered to one of my friends. Everything was handled perfectly just with a phone call. The delivery was on time, the fish was very tasty, and they even added a lovely ribbon packing, which made it extra special. Really impressed with the service and quality. Thank you!
