Guests are collected from their preferred location in Accra and taken directly to the market. Mokola Market is made up of different sections, and the route through the market is shaped by your interests. Depending on what you’re looking for, your guide can take you through areas known for textiles and kente cloth, jewellery, clothing, arts and crafts, household goods, and locally sourced items. The experience is flexible, allowing time to browse, ask questions, or focus on specific items. To keep the visit manageable in a busy environment, the tour is limited to a maximum of three guests per guide. During the infamous transatlantic slave trade, Assin Manso Ancestral Slave River Park was one of the biggest slave markets, gathering people to sell into slavery. Since you will be traveling along the path that many African Americans' ancestors took, it is especially worthwhile to see as a prelude to seeing Cape Coast Slave Castle. Slaves took their final bath at Assin Manso before continuing on their journey. Additionally, it contains the location of the reburial of the repatriated remains of two diasporas, Carson from New York and Lady Crystal from Jamaica.
