There are no real safari venues near Cape Town as it is climatically unsuitable to support a free-roaming wildlife area with large predators such as lions, leopards, cheetahs and hyenas. There are some places that are more like zoos . The Pilanesberg is a National Reserve and has free roaming over 80 lion 1000+ elephant 100's of rhino, giraffe, zebra, buffalo and over 10,000 various antelope and other animals.
