A friend of mine recommended this place. I decided to try their famous papusa. Well worth the price. It's stacked with a good amount of cabbage, avocado beans and cheese. I've tried papusas in other places and theirs is the best. A small quaint place located on "hippie highway", ran by women. As soon as I walked in I was greeted. I ordered and within thirty minutes my freshly made vegetarian was placed in front of me. The cheese and beans were oozing out but tasty. All the ingredients were fresh and tasty. Everyone was friendly, helping and also one is supporting a women who help the community. Gracias, for a wonderful meal.

This is definitely the best restaurant on the San Marcos main path! Delicious papusas and cacao! Plus they are in collaboration with community programs such as supporting young leaders and healthy babies.

Amazing pupusas!! We had ours with chickens and they were so good. I was a little skeptical when they told me that each other only came with one, but when I saw them come out I understood why -- they were absolutely loaded! The base was stuffed with beans and cheese with a nice crusted outside. Then topped with pickled veggies, meat, and guacamole. The seatings upstairs is nice as the windows open and give you a nice view of the city and street below. There are some cute cats here too. We also tried the burrito but I would recommend getting the pupusas over that.

I paid 95 for a smoothie and the dish of the day - extremely overpriced for what I received. A few hours later, I became seriously ill with what appeared to be food poisoning. I had to wait almost an hour for my food This was not only a disappointing experience but also a health risk. For such high prices, I expected far better quality and safety. I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend it based on this experience.

Girlfriend and I had a bad case of food poisoning after eating here. I read a few reviews having a similar experience but took the risk since the ratings were so high. We had the chicken burrito and the special of the day which was a vegetarian stew. Food was okay and barely warm and soon after eating we both developed a lot of stomach discomfort and then eventually all the other lovely symptoms of food poisoning. We ate here at 4 and it was the only meal we had that day besides eggs and toast we had for breakfast. Hopefully they improve the food from this review. Couldn't really recommend this place unless you want to risk losing a day or two of travelling to recovering.
