Wonder at the views from atop of the highest mountain on the eastern seaboard of the United States. From the shore of Sand Beach to the peak of Cadillac Mountain you’ll have the chance to explore the whole 27 miles (43 km) of Acadia’s Park Loop Road. As we meander along shores, coves, cliffs, historic stone bridges, through the woods, and up the mountain, your guide will introduce you to local history, lore, flora, fauna, and geology. You’ll have the opportunity to stop for photos and/or get out to explore as you wish. Sights will included the Wild Gardens of Acadia, Sand Beach, Thunder Hole, Otter Cliffs, Hunters Beach, Jordan Pond, Bubble Pond, Eagle Lake, and Cadillac Mountain Summit. Learn the basics of stand-up paddle boarding on land before launching at Mere Point in Brunswick for a leisurely 2.5 hour morning tour of Northwest Casco Bay! We will paddle out to a demonstration oyster farm and then to an island to shuck and enjoy a complimentary tasting of the sweet and briny fresh Maine oysters. Stand-up paddle boarding is a great, fun way to sight see from the water. We are likely to see cormorants, sea gulls, osprey, great blue herons, snowy egrets, ducks, and we might see fish jumping or a seal.  Paddlers at least 12 years old will love exploring Casco Bay in this protected, scenic, historic area! There will be a break on land where we will stretch, taste the oysters and have some snacks that you bring.

This walk through Boothbay Harbor's snickleways is a wonderous combination of our town's hidden history, local lore, and unsolved mysteries that will leave you ruminating long after the tour has ended. Your entertaining local guide gives you a lay of the land and all the inside scoop on the harbor’s most mysterious unsolved death, Boothbay Harbor’s very own sea serpent, legendary treasure tales surrounding many of the harbor’s islands, and how two rock stars saved the Boothbay Opera House from becoming a parking lot.
