Wonder at the views from atop of the highest mountain on the eastern seaboard of the United States. From the shore of Sand Beach to the peak of Cadillac Mountain youâll have the chance to explore the whole 27 miles (43 km) of Acadiaâs Park Loop Road. As we meander along shores, coves, cliffs, historic stone bridges, through the woods, and up the mountain, your guide will introduce you to local history, lore, flora, fauna, and geology. Youâll have the opportunity to stop for photos and/or get out to explore as you wish. Sights will included the Wild Gardens of Acadia, Sand Beach, Thunder Hole, Otter Cliffs, Hunters Beach, Jordan Pond, Bubble Pond, Eagle Lake, and Cadillac Mountain Summit. We reserve an extra 30 minutes on every tour so you can relax and not have to watch the clock! Expect your tour guide to be dependable, friendly, and adaptable. Learn the basics of stand-up paddle boarding on land before launching at Mere Point in Brunswick for a leisurely 2.5 hour morning tour of Northwest Casco Bay! We will paddle out to a demonstration oyster farm and then to an island to shuck and enjoy a complimentary tasting of the sweet and briny fresh Maine oysters. Stand-up paddle boarding is a great, fun way to sight see from the water. We are likely to see cormorants, sea gulls, osprey, great blue herons, snowy egrets, ducks, and we might see fish jumping or a seal. Paddlers at least 12 years old will love exploring Casco Bay in this protected, scenic, historic area! There will be a break on land where we will stretch, taste the oysters and have some snacks that you bring.
