TLDR: Cochon Butcher has always been a local legend, and now with a Michelin Bib Gourmand which is well deserved. I have been coming to Cochon Butcher ever since the late, great Anthony Bourdain recommended it, and it has only gotten better over time. Fast forward to 2025, and seeing them finally receive a Michelin Bib Gourmand feels like well earned recognition. I brought my wedding party here for our rehearsal lunch, and it could not have gone better. The staff was incredible. We called ahead since we had a large group, and they kindly reserved a section for us so we could enjoy our meal together. Everyone was blown away by how exceptional the food was for what is considered “fast casual.” We practically ordered the entire menu, from the BBQ shrimp to the Cochon Muffaletta, the Cochon burger, and the boudin links. Every single dish was outstanding. The flavors, the portions, and the consistency were all on point. The drink menu deserves special mention too. The beer, wine, and cocktail list is excellent. The Hogwash Old Fashioned was the star of the show. The glass is rinsed with pork fat before mixing, giving it a subtle smoky depth that makes it unforgettable. We chose to sit outside since it was a beautiful day, and it made the experience even more enjoyable. Surrounded by good friends, great food, and the relaxed energy of New Orleans, it was a meal to remember. Michelin may have just discovered Cochon Butcher, but we have known for years that it is something special. I had the Cubano sandwich , it was excellent - loved it. Full flavor and so fresh , such high quality foood. The service was amazing, very friendly staff. Overall it was great experience. Highly recommend. Food, atmosphere etc. was amazing. Service was 10x better. Our attending waitress was MK and she was insanely attentive, kind, and helpful in giving recommendations on where to go during our time in NOLA. We went to at least four of her recommendations and loved all of them. The food was stellar; fresh, came fast, smelled amazing, tasted even better. Not if, WHEN I come back to NOLA I will come back to Cochon and I hope to see MK again to thank her for her hospitality!!!

One of the best meals in New Orleans! Especially if you really like meat. 🙂 Very casual, warm, and welcoming environment here. You walk into the place and order at the counter. (Usually a little like but it goes by fast!) employees at the counter are so great and helpful if you need assistance with the menu and making decisions. MK, our fellow Philly girl!, took great care of us and helped me pick out some options. You get a number and find a table wherever to sit. Inside and outside options, but so be aware it’s majority high top tables so not the most accessible. It’s well staffed here, with the staff working as a team, so everything feels very efficient. We got several charcuterie and sausage options, a side of mac and cheese, and the Monday blue plate special which was red beans & rice with fried pork chops. Everything was 10/10. Highly recommend getting a charcuterie or sausage sampler. The boudin and duck pastrami were big standouts for us. Homemade pickles were a sneaky standout, loved them. I really really wanted to try a sandwich as well, it seemed that’s what most people were ordering and the options were really creative. For two people, our large amount of food was about $55. Without drinks. Well worth for the quality and lovely experience!

I've been there twice. Each time, it was great. Excellent food. Friendly, smiling, non-intrusive staff. The music is cool and not overly loud, as is often the case, and the decor is really nice. What's more, service is prompt after ordering. The best place I've ever eaten in NOLA, everything was perfect.
