If you’re in San Pedro and craving good Mexican food, Kalaveras is definitely a must-visit! The ambience is very warm and inviting, perfect for families and friends to enjoy a good meal together. From the moment you walk in, the servers make you feel very welcome with their friendly and attentive service. The prices are reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food and drinks. They also have a great selection of liquors and mixed drinks to choose from, which adds to the dining experience. Overall, the food is flavorful and satisfying. Since Kalaveras has several branches, it’s nice to know that whenever you’re in San Pedro, you can count on this location for good food, a pleasant atmosphere, and excellent service. Highly recommended!

First time here and we had an awesome experience. The food is delicious, especially the Albóndigas Soup.. OMG I could not get enough of it, it has now become 1 of my top 10 soups. The atmosphere was quiet but vibrant. This is now going to be on our top 20 places when we are in town.

Had lunch the day before our cruise. Very happy with my dish, which was baked nachos thing… name escapes me. But the star to me was their handmade salsa that’s just the right spiciness and there’s greasy salty chips. Definitely would come back again my next trip to Long Beach/San Pedro.

I don't get the low average score on TripAdvisor. Google's score more accurately reflects my experience. I'm highly critical on Mexican restaurants, and this one was darn good. Carne asada tacos could not have been better. Meet with seasoned and cooked perfection, not overcooked, not dry. Portion size for two tacos was enormous. Ceviche also quite good. My only complaint about the ceviche, I asked the waiter if it was a small portion and he said yes. It was easily enough for two people. Chips and salsa were plentiful and quite tasty. Service met expectations did not exceed. Price was a little high, but given the location I can't complain. My only major criticism, and I'm not going to take off a point for it, is the weird bathroom. The entire men's room is completely wallpapered with plastic thick greenery. This is the least sanitary thing you could do in a bathroom - - correction, they could use shag carpeting on the floor. That would be worse.

Great place with a cozy atmosphere and delicious food! All the dishes we tried were perfectly cooked, not too oily and fresh! I also want to point out that the service is more than just perfect! Quick, understandable and always paying attention to they are guests! Love it!!
