A self guided adventure just minutes from the French quarter on Bayou Bienvenue. The area is teeming with wildlife; from birds, herons, docile alligators, turtles, and more. When you enter the marnina (Nola Party Barge) please go all the way down the driveway on the left hand side of the gas station into the back parking lot. On the right hand side of the parking lot you will see a sign that says kayak rentals, guiding you to the rentals and the launch site. Lifejackets must be worn at all times.

Bayou Bienvenue Self Guided Kayak Tour! Thank you for booking a self-guided kayak adventure! We’re excited for you to explore one of the most unique wetland environments near New Orleans. Please read through this information before your tour so everything goes smoothly. Arrival Location: 2102 Paris Rd., New Orleans LA 70129 (you can also search Nola Party Barge) To find the correct location: • Look for signage for NOLA Party Barge • There is currently construction on Paris Rd. You will see an opening after the construction to turn right into a gravel road that will lead you into our entrance. When you turn into the marina, you will see a driveway on the left side of the property. • Continue down the driveway until you reach a large open parking lot. • From the parking lot, look for the sign on the right-hand side directing you to the kayak launch site. You will see the orange and blue kayaks near the launch. Getting Your Kayak Before your tour, you will receive a code to unlock the kayaks, if you do not receive a code your kayaks will already be unlocked and ready to launch. When you arrive: • Near the launch area you will find a container with life jackets • Life jackets are mandatory and must be worn at all times while on the water • Grab a paddle from the paddle rack • Once you have your kayak, paddle, and life jacket, you are ready to launch Launch your kayak from the marina ramp. Once on the water: • Paddle left past the dock to exit the marina • Continue out into the open water of Bayou Bienvenue • The utility poles act as your main navigation guide If you become unsure of your location: • Look for the large communication tower and use it as a visual landmark We recommend bringing: • Water • Sunscreen • Hat or sunglasses • Clothes that can get wet • A dry bag or waterproof pouch for your phone and valuables When you return from your paddle: • Bring your kayak back to the launch area • Return your paddle • Place your life jacket back in the container
