Tourists will visit also an ancient fortress of Atskuri and Khertvisi fortresses constructed on the top of the hills in the X century. The final destination of the tour is Vardzia, an impressive cave town founded by King George III in the XII century. During its golden time it accommodated around 20.000 people. It was demolished by Mongols in XV century.
