After leaving southern Tenerife, make your way through the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Teide National Park where otherworldly volcanic sights abound. Pass through Vilaflor, one of Spain’s highest villages, stop for photos at the island’s famous dragon tree over 3000 years old in Icod De Los Viños and then enjoy plenty of free time to explore Garachico the original port of Tenerife which was devastated by the last volcano eruption and Masca the village on a cliff the gorgeous Canarian village tucked into the hills. With much much more to see and discover with this trip you will not be disappointed. You will have time for lunch in a recommended restaurant or take your own lunch which there are many places to sit and eat. November to May can be a little cold in the mountains.
