Nice place, relatively expensive for the region but if you're traveling from US or EU, still very cheap. The food tasted great, service was good just a bit slow but not annoying. Be aware the portion size is big. I do recommend this place. Great atmosphere, attentive staff. Food took about 40 minutes which is standard for Arusha. I got a shawarma - massive portion sizes - and my friends got the gyros plate. Everyone enjoyed their meal and struggled to finish it due to the size. I was super hungry so started looking for a place to eat already on the bus on my way from Nairobi. I was excited when it turned out that there is a well rated Greek restaurant since I love Greek cuisine. Unfortunately if was one of the biggest disappointments ever.. First the meatballs that were completely dry so I asked for another dish and the chicken I got was extremely fatty so I couldn’t finish that one as well… Feta in their Greek salad had nothing in common With the real feta cheese. Shame since after reading other opinions my expectations were high…

Nice place, relatively expensive for the region but if you're traveling from US or EU, still very cheap. The food tasted great, service was good just a bit slow but not annoying. Be aware the portion size is big. I do recommend this place.

I was super hungry so started looking for a place to eat already on the bus on my way from Nairobi. I was excited when it turned out that there is a well rated Greek restaurant since I love Greek cuisine. Unfortunately if was one of the biggest disappointments ever.. First the meatballs that were completely dry so I asked for another dish and the chicken I got was extremely fatty so I couldn’t finish that one as well… Feta in their Greek salad had nothing in common With the real feta cheese. Shame since after reading other opinions my expectations were high…

Hi there, "Walking into George Tavern in Arusha feels like teleporting straight to a Greek island! With its charming white and blue decor, dimmed lights, and cozy ambiance, you half expect to see the Aegean Sea. The service is great, and the wine menu is like a love letter to Dionysus. The pork gyros on pita bread, paired with a fresh side salad and fantastic chips, are a must-try. And don't miss out on Crafty Dee's craft beer—it's the perfect finishing touch. Cheese pizza was decent -its a thin crust with 8 slices. Ordered delivery via WhatsApp. Was super fast to deliver, think it was under 30mins! Would order again. Asante
