Elphantine Island had a really enjoyable chilled out island vibes with farms, interesting small streets and a gorgeous sunset over the water. Was great to have a pre-sunset dinner at Nubian Dream Restaurant overlooking the water. The team was super friendly and welcoming. Zero pressure, rush or upsell. Food was simple and tasty. Very laid back and nice to relax and play a few rounds of Uno after a day of adventuring around in Aswan and beyond. The day before we left Aswan, we happened to come to this small restaurant. The owner and his mother made us a sumptuous meal. It was the most delicious, happy meal we had in Egypt. The owner loves China very much. His small shop is in a great location. The day before we left Aswan, we happened to come to this small restaurant. The owner and his mother made us a sumptuous meal. It was the most delicious, happy meal we had in Egypt. The owner loves China very much. His small shop is in a great location. The children are swimming in the river. It looks very warm on the Nile. We like everything here, and we hope to meet again.💕

The view from our table was unobstructed over looking the Nile, the beers were cold, prices were very reasonable, and the food was incredibly delicious. For the 3 of us we shared the following dishes which came with a big pot of delicious rice: -Grilled chicken with lemon -Nubian Vegetable Tagine with Meat -Aubergine Bechamel Tagine Service was great and spoke English. Trust me, if you come to Elephant Island, you must visit this restaurant! It’s cheap and delicious. The owner does all the cooking, so it might not be super fast, but the amazing food is absolutely worth the wait! Just order a beer, sit back, enjoy the view of the Nile River, and your mood will instantly brighten up!

I had an incredible experience at Nubian Dreams Restaurant & Cafe. I ordered the camel dish, which was absolutely delicious—flavorful, tender, and perfectly cooked. It was a true taste of local tradition. What truly made the visit special was the service. Mostafa, who attended to me, was not only attentive and professional but also a great connoisseur of traditional Nubian cuisine. He made sure I had a wonderful experience and even took the time to share stories and tips about the island’s tourist spots, adding a personal and cultural touch to the meal. The location of the restaurant is simply magical. Perched on a height overlooking the Nile River, it offers a breathtaking view, especially at sunset. It’s conveniently located right next to the boat terminal, which makes it very accessible for travelers. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a cozy vibe that makes you want to stay longer and take in the beauty around you. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy authentic Nubian food, excellent service, and an unforgettable setting.
