Amazing food! What a gem in Ha Long Bay! We were getting tired of Vietnamese food and this place was like a breath of fresh air for us. Lovely staff! We ordered a lot of food as we wanted to have a lot of it as takeaway. The chef came out and warned us that it is too much food for the 3 of us, but then we told him we have the capacity to eat it or else will have it as takeaway. Very attentive waitress too. Super delicious food. Definitely thankful for the existence of this place. Wish we have stayed longer time in Ha Long Bay so we could visit it again. AC was on - highly appreciated. And the noodles were good but wouldn’t say it’s something I’d get again. Overall, the food was great! When you couldn’t possibly eat one more banh mi get down to Vanakkam Indian restaurant. Best Indian I have had. Not just in Vietnam but all of Southeast Asia. Perfectly spiced to the level we asked for. Flavorful and plentiful. Couldn’t finish it so they bagged the rest up for us. Really is a hidden gem ( 4th floor of an unassuming building just out of town ). Well worth a visit.

Wonderful Indian restaurant here in Halong! I’d been eating Vietnamese food all week long so wanted a break from all that, glad I came across this place. When you couldn’t possibly eat one more banh mi get down to Vanakkam Indian restaurant. Best Indian I have had. Not just in Vietnam but all of Southeast Asia. Perfectly spiced to the level we asked for. Flavorful and plentiful. Couldn’t finish it so they bagged the rest up for us. Really is a hidden gem ( 4th floor of an unassuming building just out of town ). Well worth a visit.

We had dinner today at vanakkam family restaurant, we were four or five people, but the food is very good. In the whole of Vietnam, only vanakkam restaurant serves such good food. All Indian food, it is very tasty food. We ate at many places in Vietnam, but we did not like it. The food at vanakkam restaurant Halong serves very good food. I was very happy.

This meal was so delicious. I had the butter chicken and butter naan, it was fabulous. So much flavour and the perfect amount of spice. Head to this restaurant for a good feed. The staff were also super friendly too!
