Whole baked fish was delicious. It came with sautéed potatoes. It had a chocolate sauce underneath the fish. It worked well with the papas but not with the fish. I ordered the Tiramisu but what actually came was rich chocolate mouse on top of heavy sponge. No cream in sight. Disappointing. Beautiful view with 1 wall open to the view. Very high quality service from staff and excellent food. It was incredibly empty and quiet when we went but perhaps due to it being Tuesday or the pricing. Dinner, 1 drink and dessert for 2 was >75,000 colons so it is a high premium price but equally high quality and we loved it. We had dinner and breakfast here. The restaurant is open to the outside air and sounds (large covered area). The food was great, fresh seafood sourced locally. Entertainment one night (local dance group). The picture isn't the best; fresh fish, black beans and vegetables.

WOW! Where to start. The service was too notch. A first class attendance. There were several surprises like a candle that was butter that I’d never experienced before with three types of bread. The mahi mahi ceviche and gyozas were a win. The entrees were packed with exotic flavors and large presentation. It was an entire experience and exactly what we were looking for. To top off our Costa Rican vacation. We walked away stuffed and saying it was our best meal during our stay. Everywhere we are was top of the line but they won the overall for this trip.

So glad we found this place on our visit to Manuel Antonio! If you are looking for a well curated menu and creative gastronomy then definitely plan a visit to KAROLAS! The drinks are exceptional and the food presentation is gorgeous. Our server Inez was so attentive and accommodating! Five stars, would absolutely recommend!🥰
