Was a nice atmosphere. The servers were Juanpablo and axel. Amazing service!! The caesar salad was absolutely remarkable. Wasn’t too crowed. Nice music, good lighting, good choice of food on the menu, and great vibes! Would definitely recommend for anyone who likes having fun with family and friends! :)

Alux is a must visit if you are in the Playa del Carmen area. From the atmosphere to the food to the drinks. Everything was perfect. Fabio was our server and he was excellent. He introduced himself and shared the history of not only Alux but the cenote itself. He explained the menu in detail and made it excellent recommendations. We had the tacos Del Alux and the sustainable catch of the day (which was red snapper, delicious) We had multiple drinks, all were delicious as well. The food and service was the best I’ve had and combine that with the atmosphere of being in a cave system…its was amazing.

The setting is quite nice but even though they had air conditioning and fans it was still really hot and humid inside. It was also very smokey. We got there at 7 and the service was excellent. But as the night went on and it got more busy it was REALLY SLOW. We noticed there were only two waiters in our section covering 9 tables! And there were 2 large parties. I also felt like the rushed out appetizer, like I was still eating my appetizer when our main entree came out. Anyways, I got the steak and it was great. It was extremely tender and flavorful. My partner got the catch of the day risotto and it was also very good. I don’t think you can go wrong with the food here, especially with the prices you can expect it to be good. For an appetizer we go the homemade bread that came with two butters, crickets, and salt. I honestly don’t think it was worth it. Nothing special.

Beautiful dinner in a cave, complete with the occasional bat fly-by. Dinner was lovely. The poblano risotto was amazing. That pork belly was also incredible! Service could have been more friendly, but it was not poor enough to detract from the experience.
