Simple design of the restaurant, because the mostly important - you and food for you. Crazy lime balance in mojito, absolutely adorable salmon, lemon tart without compromise… and simple salad with octopus no so simple! The best seafood in the world! Please, still your art!

We came here with really high expectations because of all the great reviews. The décor is amazing, and I loved hearing the story behind the restaurant from the staff — every detail has clearly been thought through, and the presentation of the dishes is stunning (9/10 easily). But unfortunately, the flavours didn’t match the looks. We ordered the salmon with sweet potato puré, the cod, a steak and a burger. The salmon was very under-seasoned and the mango chutney didn’t really fit. The sweet potato purée had a cumin flavour that clashed with the rest. The cod looked great on the plate with potatoes and kale salad, but it was very dry and overall lacking flavour. The steak and burger were fine, but nothing special. The staff themselves were very nice and friendly, however service in general wasn’t great — we waited about 45 minutes for the food to arrive, and at one point the waiter even asked me to help put the food plates on the table. For a place with such high ambitions, that felt off. It really seems like all the effort went into the presentation and concept, but not enough into the taste or experience. Honestly, I would rather have had less effort put into making pretty dishes, and more into ensuring they are packed with flavour. Beautiful restaurant and great idea, but the food and service left us disappointed.

Had a wonderful night at Almada. Food are exactly what I want in Portugal and it definitely a restaurant I will recommend my friend. Especially the service and the waiter that I meet tonight Sahil. Exceptional service and care for details. He definitely make you feel like home.

Last night in Porto, so we wanted somewhere local to were we where staying, and couldn’t have picked a more beautiful relaxing restaurant, staff were very friendly and welcoming. The food was 5 star, our compliments to the chef! Excellent cuisine cooked to perfection!

So this restaurant had excellent food. I have to give it a three because we had a reservation at 8:30. We did not get to sit until nine and did not eat till 1030. And they had to redo the Octopus. Said all that the food was fantastic and they tried everything to make up for the mistakes But since I have to give honest opinion, I can only give a three star. By far, the best octopus I have ever had.
