Everyone agrees that the best time to visit Patagonia is during the summer months of December to February but you can also travel through many areas of northern Chile throughout the year. The main season is in September - March when average daytime ranges from 65°F in the sun to the low 40°s. We highly recommend visiting Patagonia during summer (December to March), since it´s the warmest time of year, of course, with average high temperatures of around 15°C but in this time winds are at their strongest and can reach over 74 miles an hour. We begin with this unique adventure, after checking in at our office, we head towards Bahia Laredo by transfer to embark on speedboats; for 45 minutes towards Magdalena Island, where we will disembark 1 hour with our guide to know the natural habitat of the Magellanic Penguins, in the largest colony in South America. We continue our journey to Marta Island to see Sea Lions (weather permitting), imperial cormorants and hundreds of southern seagulls. Then return to the pier and Punta Arenas. We'll also have a chance if luck goes with us to be able to spot Southern Dolphins, Overa Tonins and Sei Whales.

On our journey to Tierra del Fuego Island, we first start with picking up the passengers from their respective lodging places in the city of Punta Arenas, and then heading for the city of Porvenir on a cruise crossing through the Strait of Magellan with a duration of 2 hours. When arriving in the city of Porvenir we visited the Selknam Square, coastal and a restaurant as an option for the passenger. Then we head towards the Pinguino Rey Park in a van ride with a delay of 2 hours approx. When we reach the Pinguino Rey Park we must pay an entrance fee, then we head towards the Pinguino Rey viewpoint, from where we can observe them at a distance of approximately 30 meters. After our visit to the Pinguino Rey Park, we return to another ferry crossing in Primera Angostura with a delay of 30 min. Return to the city of Punta Arenas arriving at 21:30 approx. at the respective passenger accommodation places.
