We went here twice in three days because how wonderful the food and environment is. La Buche was highly recommended to me by a couple of locals who insisted that it would the go to place for traditional Canadian comfort food and they were not wrong. They. have a large menu full of different meats, poutine, fries, waffles, sides - they have something for everyone. Also the staff is wonderful - incredibly friendly, attentive and happy to provide recommends. Please visit here if you have the chance. Chicken waffle: Chicken is too dried, probably overcooked. The waffle and sauce are good. Tastes overall okay. Breakfast poutine: $24 for a handful of hashes, cheese and bacon. Totally not worth the value. It tastes okay. Duck wings: okay. Sauce is sweet. Dishes for brunch and lunch ordered by 3pm have coffee/tea included. Service: they are too busy to take care every table well. My coffee refill was being missed for 30 minutes. I only get refilled at the last minute before getting the bill. The interior is well designed, nostalgic to old American style. This place was amazing! I would rate it 4.5 out of 5 stars only because the table my partner and I had was too small and uncomfortable. It also became a bit warm after it started to fill up with patrons and air flow was not the greatest. These things aside, the food was incredible and the service was great! Our server Isabelle provided great suggestions and was very pleasant.

The best part of my Quebec city trip was the Chicken Waffles I had here, accompanied with some beer, and pork rinds. The restaurant is classic quebecois style, with seating indoors and outdoors during summer. Their menu is expansive but since I went alone, I could only have 2 dishes. The waffle and the chicken was new and very unique to me. Spicy maple syrup drizzled over it was a delight along with the combination. They serve a lot of quality french cuisine dishes that are worth a try. The staff is extremely friendly too.

One of the best breakfast places I have been to in Canada. Amazing service, delicious food and unique and well thought out ambience. Would highly recommend making a reservation though as the place gets quite filled up quickly. We tried their breakfast meal with multiple meats and crepes and it was delicious. The servers were extremely friendly, seemed to love what they do.
