Explore as well the north west part on the outside of the crater visiting Mosteiros a lava deltic formed from the erupçtion of Pico da Mafra, and Ferraria another lava deltic from the erupction of Pico das Camarinhas, two of the forty six erupctions that occurred around the Caldera od the volcano since its colapse at 36000 years ago.

The Moinho do Félix hike is located on the north coast of the island, in the village of Lomba de São Pedro, and it is a 5.5 km hike (3,4 miles).
