After a lunch break* in the city of Praia da Vitória, go to Serra do Facho, where the view over the city is breathtaking. Passagem das Bestas, is a 4-hour walk on a 4 km trail in the interior of the island of Terceira, and takes place in a protected area belonging to the Terceira natural park. On this trail it is possible to observe relheiras (marks of ox cart wheels) that for centuries transported wood from the interior of the island) engraved in volcanic rock; be amazed by the beauty of Caldeira Guilherme Moniz (volcano crater); fall in love with the endemic and invasive flora; discover breathtaking landscapes; relax to the sound of migratory and resident birds in the Azores. The trail is of medium difficulty, on terrain with few flat parts, has a maximum elevation of 100 m, is a circular route and is approximately 4 km long.

The next stop is the village of São Sebastião, which has one of the oldest churches on the island. After this stop we go towards the city of Praia da Vitória, where we will stop at the Serra do Facho viewpoint, that offers a privileged view over the city. Finally, we go up to the Serra do Cume viewpoint, where we can see the famous ‘Manta de Retalhos’, the largest caldera in the Azores.
