You'll come for the excellent food, but you'll leave feeling you have joined Mark's circle of friends. It's equal parts cheffing and chatting. Mark's personal attention to each guest makes it an intimate atmosphere. Guests exchange stories and by the end of the omakase set you have made some friends and learned a whole lot about the food, the locally sourced farm to table ingredients and Mark's story. He is equally interested in your story if you choose to join in the conversational opportunities. It's an experience. You'll want to come back. Mark's Tokyo will become your Tokyo. I have never had a more friendly chef at a restaurant. The atmosphere he created around preparing the food with the guest seated right in the kitchen was phenomenal. His two support staff were also great supplements. The way he found time to sit down with us at our table, even though our table was a bit off to the side. He took a genuine interest in our visit to Japan, gave traveling tips and advised on the how to get home. I've not mentioned the food thus far, not because it wasn't good, but because it was perfect. Shout out to Mama mark for the great tomato sauce recipe for the pasta! This place is worth every yen! If you are looking for a fine dining experience at an affordable price, this is the place to go. - Two very happy customers. Every bit of our experience at Mark's was delightful. The service was wonderful and unique in that you get a lot of face time with Mark himself while he prepares and plates every course. Hes so friendly and happy to give travel tips for those visiting Japan for the first time. He uses produce from Japanese farms, always focusing on what is in season. Considering the amount and quality of food you receive, its quite a good value as well. Cannot recommend Mark's Tokyo enough if youre in town.

I had a friend recommend Mark's, and as I have enjoyed a few Omakase-style dinners, it was a no brainer that we'd go. It was easily the warmest and friendliest atmosphere I had experienced, we didn't even realize we had been there for 3.5 hours until we left. We had an absolutely delicious dinner, and as someone who doesn't love seafood (but will always try it), I had the MOST DELICIOUS red snapper. Mark and his team (Samantha and Kaito) were very patient, and made us very comfortable, just chatting about our lives, giving us wine and dish recommendations/introductions. Even with a large party next to us, we never felt forgotten about. Every single thing was delicious, beautifully complimented, and the best dinner I have ever been to, hands down.

My husband and I had dinner at Mark’s Tokyo last night and it was a fabulous experience. The food was delicious and we had a great experience chatting to the owners/other patrons! Cannot recommend Mark’s highly enough. Thank you for a great night!
