During the Winter we will focus on wolf watching, viewing moose, bison, elk, coyote, etc. We will depart your accommodations and head towards Yellowstone’s northern range, undoubtedly one of the prime wildlife viewing spots in the world, it harbors impressive bison herds, wolf packs, and meandering bears. Visitors are likely to depart from the park’s northern lands with at least one, if not more, checks on their wildlife card. Wild and pristine. Our Yellowstone Lake kayaking sunset tours offer a truly unique experience, away from the crowds of Yellowstone. Firstly, we take pride in providing the smallest group sizes on the water, ensuring a more intimate and personalized adventure. The combination of the serene waters, thermal features like hot springs, and occasionally witnessing geysers erupting from the vantage point of a kayak creates an incredibly cool and memorable experience. Please note that this sunset adventure may be canceled more frequently than our morning trip due to weather conditions. However, when the weather cooperates, it showcases the magnificence of the Yellowstone Lake at sunset.

Travel off the beaten path by way of an E-Bike. This tour takes us around Bunsen Peak where you have the chance to witness wildlife and view the backcountry of Yellowstone National Park. This trail does include rough terrain and steep descents. This tour requires stamina, strength and confidence.

3 Hour Paddle We begin our 3 hour paddle of the West Thumb Geyser basin at 8:30 AM. We will traverse 3 miles of wilderness with the opportunity to view active geyser features along the way. Paddling along the shoreline allows for the best wildlife viewing opportunities. Elk are often spotted in Grant Village and sometimes other mammals such as bears and wolves frequent the lake area. A variety of bird species are spotted daily and the water is clear enough to see the native Cutthroat Trout as big as your arm if you're lucky enough. ;) The fish can get quite large in Yellowstone Lake.

Winter is the best time of year to view Yellowstone wolves. Our tour will focus on Yellowstone’s Lamar Valley, undoubtedly one of the best prime wildlife viewing spots in North America as it harbors impressive wolf packs, large herd os bison, elk, and moose. In Dec through March Yellowstone wolves become highly viewable and often be seen challenging elk and Bison in Yellowstones famous Lamar Valley. In late Winter Yellowstone starts to comes to life as the temperature gets slightly warmer, the snow starts to melt, grizzly bears start to wake up from a long hibernation. March in Yellowstone is the best time of the season to view the parks population of grizzly bears fighting against wolves for dominance of food resources and attempt to take over the landscape. This tour is led by a wildlife biologist that is a professional guide in Yellowstone National Park. Through out the day they will interpret the landscape and wildlife interactions. It will certainly be an unforgettable day!

This tour will only take your group to areas inside Yellowstone that are off the beaten path and not easily found (we can easily add a one or a few popular sites to make a hybridized tour). This tour does not stop at Old Faithful or popular tourist destinations. Instead, we will go to areas that gives your family or friends the opportunity to experience Hidden Yellowstone. Since we are avoiding the popular destinations we will have more time to explore and get off the beaten path compared to other tours. This Active Van Tour is a great way to see Yellowstone National Park beginning in the fun gateway town of West Yellowstone. The early morning part of the tour explores wildlife haunts in the famous Shadow Canyon of the Madison River. This area is home to bear and elk. A kayak paddle on Yellowstone Lake is a great way to start the day before moving on to afternoon activities. We begin the tour at 10AM to beat the wind and waves that can form later in the day. Launching in the evening can be quite dangerous. Safety is our priority. Your kayak instructor will provide a safety briefing and introduce you to the kayaks and paddle strokes. The tours have a ratio of 6-guests-to-1-guide. The minimum age to join is 14. Once underway, we journey from the Grant Village Marina to the West Thumb Geyser Basin. The sight of the steaming geyser basin forms a lifelong memory. Enjoy the big mountain views of the Absaroka Range across the lake. Getting out on the water is a unique way to experience the Park. Our tours are fun! But, we also have a passion for the Park and enjoy sharing information about the flora, fauna, and history of the region. Tours include morning hot drinks and light snacks, as well as lunch on an off the beaten path beach.

This guided kayaking tour in Yellowstone National Park, includes an introduction to Yellowstone's history and geology of the Lake, along with the kayaking equipment and techniques, then your guides lead you around the shoreline to the West Thumb Geyser Basin where there are many geothermal features on land and under water we will explore from our kayaks, many of which are not accessible by any other means. We explore from our kayaks this primitive geyser basin where there are no signs, no boardwalks and most importantly no other people. We stop at a secluded beach for a picnic lunch which we provide, then return the same way we came arriving back to our vehicles around 2 in the afternoon, depending on the group. This Wildlife Viewing Van Tour is a great way to see the unique animals of Yellowstone National Park. We begin in the fun gateway town of West Yellowstone. The early morning part of the tour explores wildlife haunts in the famous Shadow Canyon of the Madison River. This area is home to bear and elk. Later we scope for wildlife on the shoulders of one of Yellowstone's tallest peaks, Mount Washburn. Next we explore the Lamar Valley, known as the Serengeti of North America. We will use spotting scopes to look for wolves, bears and other wildlife. Enjoy a hot drink and morning snack while watching wolves. Next we visit the Mammoth Hot Springs Terraces for a short walk. If you don't feel like walking we find a safe, scenic spot for you to wait for the group near the van. Finally, we head back toward West Yellowstone stopping for additional wildlife sightings along the way. The day concludes back at West Yellowstone.

This guided kayaking tour in Yellowstone National Park, includes an introduction to Yellowstone's history and geology of the Lake, along with the kayaking equipment and techniques, then your guides lead you around the shoreline to the West Thumb Geyser Basin where there are many geothermal features on land and under water we will explore from our kayaks, many of which are not accessible by any other means. We explore from our kayaks this primitive geyser basin where there are no signs, no boardwalks and most importantly no other people. All necessary kayaking equipment and instruction on paddling techniques are included. No prior kayaking experience is required. All skill levels are welcome. Single and double kayaks are available.
