Just had the most magical dinner at the beautiful Aranybastya. Seated in the perfectly positioned pods which, capture the stunning scenery. Staff couldn’t be more polite and welcoming especially Dorel, who served us all evening. His efficiency and hospitality were fabulous. The food was just exceptional- highly recommend the tiramisu for pudding and the delicious cocktails. An absolute treat that we would highly recommend! Thanks for a wonderful evening.

Everything in the menu that we've ordered are all scrumptous & not to mention the dessert...our tummies were happy & our palates were delighted. The service of the crew were also very good & most especially Zsolt. The ambience is fantastic. The view at the back was stunning. The only thing is the wind was a bit steong at the time we were there. But the dome outdone the wind itself.

We found Aranybastya after visiting the Hospital in the Rock Museum. It is a really wonderful spot. We sat outside on the terrace overlooking the Danube, with a panoramic view of Parliament and Halaszbastya. The cigany zene trio (traditional Hungarian musicians), the menu, the food, and the overall ambiance were perfection. Our waiter Zsolt was excellent - gracious and professional. I recommend the paprikas chicken, dobos torta, cappuccino, espresso martini, and breaded mangalica cutlet. We have visited Budapest as a family many times, and this was our first time eating at Aranybasta. We will definitely look forward to returning.

Aranybástya provided an absolutely exceptional dining experience that my two companions and I will not soon forget. From the moment we were seated at our well-positioned table outside, which offered a direct and spectacular view of the Parliament building, the evening was flawless. The culinary journey began with remarkable starters. The Duck liver pâté was outstanding and expertly prepared, while the Salad with Quinoa offered a wonderfully light and refreshing balance. The most memorable appetizer, however, was the Langos - unquestionably the best I have ever tasted. For our main, the Paprika Chicken featured incredibly tender chicken. Our meal was complemented by Prosecco, a good red wine, and attentive, continuous refills of water. The evening concluded with a distinctive 60% Pálinka and a well-made Double Espresso. The service was truly the highlight. Our server, Dorel, was phenomenal. The team was very quick and professional, yet they took the time to offer genuine care and excellent recommendations. Dorel exemplified this attentiveness, ensuring everything was to our satisfaction, engaging in friendly conversation, and even making an effort to speak our language. The restaurant also impressed with its thoughtfulness, providing ash cups for our cigarettes and promptly offering us warm blankets when the temperature dipped. While the desserts (a sponge in white vanilla cream and a chocolate-cream dish reminiscent of tiramisu) were not personally to my taste, they were a minor footnote in an otherwise sublime experience. Aranybástya is a must-visit in Budapest for a refined and memorable evening.

Atmosphere was only slightly lacking as we were eating mid afternoon so understandable. However venue and food were outstanding. Recommended. Eating on terrace would be great in summer. Negronis great as well!
