I had an excellent dining experience at Vakvarjú Étterem Pest. The grilled salmon fillet in hazelnut crust was outstanding -perfectly cooked, with a delicate crunch that paired beautifully with the smooth sweet potato purée and flavorful garlic chard. The pistachio raspberry cake with raspberry mousse was also a highlight: light, refreshing, and beautifully balanced in flavor. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the service was attentive throughout the evening. The only small downside was that our dinner was served later than our reserved time, and we weren’t sure why, but once the food arrived, everything was excellent. Overall, a lovely experience - I’d still happily recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting 1061 Budapest, Paulay Ede u. 7. looking for delicious dishes and a pleasant dining environment. I have visited this restaurant several times. The food is excellent. The gentleman playing the piano is great and creates a pleasant atmosphere for dinner. The separate corner table for up to 10 people is a wonderful option. Fun place. Honestly though, as an American, I would say it's like the Chili's of Budapest. Fun casual dining, kid friendly, but with a little bit more of a sophisticated menu and wine list than Chili's. (No offense to Chili's, I actually love the comfort food at Chili's). If you are a foodie who loves fine dining, fine ambiance, and fine wines, I would skip this place. ChatGPT suggested it to us, and it was a miss for us. I knew we were in trouble when the shrimp appetizer was delivered and it was frozen shrimp. But this would be a great place for many people, it just wasn't for us.

The food here was so good and the service exceptional. One of the best we had in Budapest. Everything looked like it came out of a magazine and was so delicious. The steak was my favorite dish, with the desserts a close second. Ask about their merchandise, which includes shirts and a custom LEGO for their restaurant

Saw someone say this is like Chilis-I would agree except worse service. Had my table moved around a few times to accommodate other people which is fine, but i ended up getting stepped on a few times and having things spilled on me by the wait staff (no apologies). Food was fine but there are better places close by. If you do come the best part was the cabbage wrap
