Extremely disappointed in this one. The meats (we had rib eye & picanha) were of inferior quality, full of tendons and very tough to chew when grilled (their approach to all the mains, except conch). In fact, the picanha (top sirloin cap) was so tough, we had trouble hacking through it even after requesting steak knives! They likely soak the meats in brine so that they are flavored with salt throughout, which is a good idea to infuse steak with sufficient flavors. But if you don't start with a good cut, the entire exercise is wasted. The shrimp were fine, but the conch as a dish was also sub-standard. To counter conch's propensity to being over-cooked, they serve it like a cole slaw - shredded and mixed with shredded carrots/ cabbage; I was told bybthe server that the dish was pan fried. But the flavoring was uninspiring. We read the reviews and had high hopes of this restaurant actually knowing how to prepare their surf & turf offerings. They don't. The whole thing was a hack job and gimmick to have you buy huge portions. The whole meal came off as a very crude approach to grilling meats. What a terrible way to end a good Curaçao visit! The place has a reputation for being difficult to reserve, but at 6:30 pm on a Friday night, it was deserted. ========= Response to the restuarant's reply: 1. We asked for medium rare for both ribeye and picanha. The ribeye was fine as med.rare but the picanha was actually tough to chew as med.rare, so we sent it back to be done as medium (the server agreed that this was the right approach - to order med.rare and ask for a bit more cooking if it's too rare). What came back was medium, not well. Cooking red meat to the correct done-ness was never the problem. The problem was with the quality of the beef, which had so much tendon that it was difficult to cut, chew, much less swallow at any done-ness. In fairness, the ribeye was a better cut than picanha, and easier to eat. We were willing to try an unusual cut, assuming the restaurant knew how to do red meat well. The technoque is not in question; the quality of the beef was the issue! We didn’t finish most of the picanha because of the quality of that meat. 2. Tips are paid for service, not for the quality of the meals. We recieved good enough service and tipped the wait staff well because in general, we like to support people who earn low wages. This was not a reflection of our dissatisfaction of the meal we received!

Amazing food! The lobster was “out of this world”…buttery, lemony, with a hint of onion. The lobster may be the best thing I’ve had this year and we’ve visited 3 countries and several states. Our server was so polite and kind as well. Lovely ambiance overall!

As Anthony Bourdain once said: « “If it’s hard to find, it’s probably worth it.” Great quality produce and meats, cooked to perfection. Tastiest meal of our second visit to Curaçao! 5* Tasty option Tapas Thursdays! *Only preference, please have latin/island vibing music ALL the time, and i’ll give it a 6* ;))

Nice outdoor vibe (comparable to a beer garden for my American people). The whole menu is shareable and the portions are good for 2 hungry people. The appetizers are also good portions and they have a solid drink menu. Went for my birthday and they gave a cute birthday celebration with sparklers.

Food is overpriced for what it is. We got the mixed grill to try all five meats and only the chicken was “good”, steak was okay. Hot inside too
