We stopped by Kam Yung Restaurant during our stay in Curaçao, and it ended up being a really great find. It has a very homey, mom-and-pop feel, and you can tell it’s a family-run place as soon as you walk in. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which set a nice tone for the meal. The food was honestly impressive. The oxtail was full of flavor, and the goat stew was delicious as well—both tasted like real home cooking. Each plate came with two sides, a small salad, and plantains, so the portions were definitely worth the price. Speaking of price, everything was very reasonable, especially compared to spots closer to the main tourist areas. It was also conveniently not too far from our hotel, which was a big plus. The inside is simple but comfortable, with AC, fans, and enough seating to relax and enjoy your meal. Overall, Kam Yung gave us one of our favorite dining experiences on the island. If you’re looking for good local food with a welcoming vibe, it’s definitely worth a visit.

We found this local gem, Kam Yung Restaurant, and it was perfect for our group! They offer a wide variety of dishes—from Chinese favorites to local cuisine—so everyone found something they loved. The food was delicious, portions were generous, and the prices were great! It’s a small place, but our group of 11 all managed to fit comfortably. They were playing American music videos on the TV, and we had fun singing along while waiting. Everything came out hot and freshly cooked to order. If you’re looking for a big, fancy restaurant this isn’t it—but if you want great food, local flavor, and a fun, laid-back vibe, definitely give Kam Yung a try! We forgot to take pics of the food and restaurant. But check it out anyway!

I personally feel like this spot is tucked away but the food was fantastic. My oxtails were literally falling off the bone. My group also ordered the stir fry noodles and stew goat which didn’t disappoint either. The flavors on the stir fry noodle were unbelievable. You should definitely check them out if you’re in Curacao!

Meal #1 in Curacao and so far so good! Oxtails were excellent and well priced. Tender, flavorful and a fair portion compared to what I’m used to in NY. Food took a while to come out but was worth it. Definitely a small dive style restaurant so don’t come for the ambience, come for the delicious eats!

I had the beef stew. Very flavorful. Came back the next day for the sate ku batata, had to order twice because it was very good and tasty. Highly recommend
