This was the first place we ate at when we arrived on the island, and it was so good we ended up returning. The restaurant has an upscale island vibe. Stylish yet relaxed, with tables right on the water where we could watch sea lions lounging and herons gliding gracefully past. Bright red crabs scuttled across the rocks, and at one point a marine iguana casually walked right past us on the restaurant floor, making the experience feel uniquely Galápagos. The food was outstanding, beautifully presented and full of fresh flavor, and the atmosphere made it feel like a special occasion. We also loved their happy hour, where you can enjoy two drinks for just $12, the perfect way to unwind by the ocean.

So rarely do you find cocktails that are worth the price. These drinks are definitely worth paying the full price, but the happy hour deal made it for an incredible value. Amazing view and great service! We only had drinks :)

We had an amazing experience at Almar Restaurant in the Galápagos! The cocktails were absolutely delicious some of the best we’ve had anywhere, and definitely the best in town. Each drink was beautifully presented and full of unique flavors. The food was equally impressive, fresh and perfectly prepared. Everything we tried was bursting with taste, from the starters to the main dishes. The setting is gorgeous, right by the water with stunning ocean views, both day and night. The atmosphere is relaxed yet elegant, making it perfect for a special dinner or just drinks with a view. The staff were incredibly friendly and professional, making us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout our meal. Highly recommend Almar if you’re visiting the Galápagos, it’s a fantastic spot for amazing food, great drinks, and beautiful views!

Our travel agent set up a romantic dinner for the last night of our honeymoon! The service was absolutely amazing. They were attentive, gave us free sangria, and made our last night so special. The food was delicious, and they even had blankets for us when the sea breeze rolled in! The coconut ice cream with fried pineapples was one of the best desserts I've ever had. I highly recommend if you want an intimate dinner with a beautiful view!

So far, Almar was my favourite dining experience in Ecuador. I went in after a recommendation from my guide to get the crayfish. Service was impeccable, the view amazing and I was even treated to a couple of sea lions joining me for lunch. The dish was sensational and I cleaned the plate.
