Had a delicious lunch at Meherio in Pape’ete. Our server Tam was lovely, and provided great service, along with local knowledge and recommendations. Tam also kept us entertained with some cheeky humour :) The Polynesian Platter and seafood bowl were great, and the star was the Saumon Risotto - phenomenal. Loved the ambiance and the profesional service, they were very fast and kind. The food was tasty and also received a complementary bread and olivecream. We came in without a reservation and got seated right away. We did not experience any slow service. In fact it was very fast. The restaurant was busy for a Saturday night with live music (which was good). The fish with vanilla sauce was excellent

Meherio Tahitian Bistro is a great spot right on the water in Tahiti. I found some unexpected flavors in the most delightful way. I had their Tuna Sashimi with Olives, Parmesan, and Pizza Seasoning. Yes, you read that right. At first glance, it might sound like a chaotic mix of ingredients… this recipe is coming back to St. Louis with me. The fresh, buttery tuna is at the bottom of the plate, topped with salty bites of olives, the richness of Parmesan, and the surprising addition of a pizza type seasoning, which somehow ties everything together. It shouldn’t work, but it absolutely does.

Beautiful terrace staff are excellent but food was not something I would go back there for. I ordered the fish and chips the batter was thick and soggy the fish inside was overcooked and had no flavour at all. The fries were fine the mahi mahi starter was ok but quite salty. Prices are high and personally I do not think the meal was worth it. Should have had the traditional poke from the mall.
