We had the most delicious food and a really great experience with the staff and chef today for lunch! Highly recommend. Very nice touch with the words on the curry too.

This Indian restaurant is a fantastic find for anyone craving authentic and flavorful Indian cuisine. The food was excellent, with well-balanced spices and rich flavors that truly stood out. A great touch was the complimentary self-service soup, which added to the overall value. Even the non-vegetarian dishes were exceptionally well-prepared. My family and I shared a meal at Namaste, the food was excellent, the Naan were huge and portion sizes generous! The staff were prompt and friendly and we felt very welcome, great to find indian food in Hiroshima. Excellent food, excellent service, excellent service! Thankyou!

Didn't plan on having Indian food while in Japan but stumbled on this really good restaurant: we love Indian food and have had it all over the world and this little restaurant ranks up there with some of the really good ones we've been too. Definitely worth stopping by if you have the time.

A warm taste of India in the heart of Hiroshima Tucked away in the busy streets of Naka-ku, Namaste Kum Kum Hiroshima feels like a little portal to India — from the aroma of sizzling spices to the friendly smiles that greet you the moment you walk in. I visited on a cool autumn evening, and the warmth from the tandoor hit me before I even sat down. The staff immediately made me feel welcome, explaining the spice levels and even recommending the “medium-hot” butter chicken for a balanced kick. They were right — it was rich, creamy, and perfectly spiced without overpowering the flavor. The garlic naan came out soft and buttery, with that irresistible char that shows it’s fresh from the tandoor. I also tried their cheese naan, which surprised me — slightly sweet, stretchy, and almost dessert-like when dipped in the curry. My vegetarian friend went for the palak paneer and gave it two thumbs up, especially praising how fresh the spinach sauce tasted. Service was quick but never rushed. Even when the restaurant filled up with locals and a few tourists, the staff stayed attentive, checking if we needed refills or wanted extra spice. Prices were fair for the quality — not the cheapest, but you can taste the care in each dish. The restaurant itself is cozy — clean, softly lit, and filled with the gentle sound of Bollywood music. It’s the kind of place where you can come alone for a comforting meal or bring friends for a relaxed night out. If I had one small suggestion, it would be to make the menu layout a bit clearer in English, as some of the sets can be confusing at first glance. Otherwise, it’s hard to find fault here.
